Hi folks

Zewtastic has been at it again!! His latest work in progress is a mapping project of Vanguard. Including chunk and dungeon maps with interative pop up descriptions of NPC's, monsters etc.

Registered users to his site can freely edit the maps. Like a wiki I suppose.

Its still in its early stages but in my opinion has wonderful potential to be a very useful tool for VG.

Quests

Entrance to Cairnworth Hall Cairnworth Hall is seemingly void of named mobs, but this is more than made up for with the Relic quests. The Relics drop randomly from any mob in Cairnworth Hall. The names of the Knights are no indication of what they might drop. Most of my drops came from Squires or Prisoners.

After you loot a relic you can return to Sir Mikhal and he will give you a summoning gem to use in the Old Guard Hall. I gathered 4 relics the first time and popped all 4 getting a mob at 4 different tables. I noticed there were 7 tables in the room, so I killed a ton of time to collected 7 more. Specific mobs did seem to pop off of certain relics. The second time I attempted to use multiple gems before killing to see if I could fill all the tables. I ended up losing a few so I would suggest only doing one relic at a time. My best guess is it has a random chance to spawn at 2 locations and if it picks a location that already has a mob spawned it overrides it and you lose your gem.

(Would clear the room before clicking the paw) I failed the first attempt and returned to the room and Jorris was still up however he was non attackable. I farmed a new paw and when I clicked it his guard dogs reapeared and agroed but he was still non agro. I would suggest farming around untill Jorris despawns before you try to pop him again.

Pantheon of the Ancients

* Mobs Levels: 4-dot 28 to 4-dot 33
* 15 Known Quests
* Prereq: Must have someone in your party or you that has completed the quest, "The Final Assault" from the Upside Defense Garrison. Speak the words "Nar'issk" to enter the Archon's room.

Here you do 12 trials, one at a time. 6 "good" 6 "evil". Each half gives you a part of the cloak of the pantheon. Combine the two halves and you get a nifty cloak.Cloaks of the Pantheon

The big fun starts when you go further into the dungoen and spawn the Sisters, a boss encounter within the Pantheon. When you defeat the sisters, you get great drops, but you also get the option to sacrifice your cloak for what's behind door number 2. This is usually a nice drop, and sometimes a legendary weapon.

I hear its all repeatable, so once you've sacrificed your cloak and gotten your weapons, you can redo the 12 trials and get another cloak.

The Pantheon is down the stairs from the Archon's room when you click a stone on the right pillar. You will first come to the Antechamber where there resides a named mob walking among a bunch of beetles. For what it's worth do not attack any of the beetles. They are social aggro with the named and we've had the entire room aggro on our group before due to ae taunt.

There are three paths you can take from the antechamber. South, East and West. There are six trials given by the avatars in the East and West wing. You can only do one trial at a time. When you have completed all six trials in the wing you can head to the upper floors and talk to the larger avatars for their buffs.

Travel to 'Good' side to the alcove of i "Avatar of Gloriann" and speak to her. She will laugh off Theindal's attack. Return to Theindal and speak to him. He will throw a hissy fit and summon three Creation of Theindal spirits to attack you (level 30 4 dots). Invis when speaking to Theindal will allow you to avoid his mobs.

Sends you to go find and slay Hoarn the minataur. Hoarn ( p on the map) pops almost directly above the avatar on the upper floor. You can find him roaming in a North/South direction along the Western wall towards the back half. He is a 5-dot level 29 or 30 unique mob. Push over for a full group.

Go over to the 'good' side and enter the F Vault of Radiance at the back of the Corridor of the Pure. Reminder, the golem patrolls see invis so be careful. I marked the location of the sword with a q on our FH map at a deadend. When you get to the deadend you will see a birdbath looking thing. The sword is in a chest located on the ledge to the second level behind the bridbath. I stood on the bath and grabed the chest from the ground floor. When a person in your party loots the sword, it is added to the inventory of everyone in the party.

Easily soloable with invis. The mob needing rescue spawns near the avatar of c Avatar of Gahalnn's room. Only one party member needs to hail it and then it will follow like a pet. Invis back to Vothdar and you are done. Earns about 2% at level 32.

Probably the second toughest trial. You have to head over to the East wing to c Avatar of Gahalnn in order to get this scripted event running. There are 10 innocents that need your protection. We finished this with four people but our healer died on the last mob so numbers are key. Here's the set up. Everyone but the tank needs to be back by the avatar of Ghalnn but spread out to avoid overlapping ae's if a cc breaks. Have the tank hail one of the innocents to start the event. DPS the minions as quick as you can and continue to pull them. The second wave will pop before you will get a chance to kill the first wave that spawns after hailing. There is a third and fourth wave as well. It's best to kill the 3-dots first then the 4-dots as the hit points on the four dots is about double to triple that of the three dots. Provided the party completes the quest you get the update, as evidenced by Fzuoul's death and the fact that we still completed it. The quest reward is about 2% at level 33.

This trial was probably the second hardest one. You will need a group healer, if not two in order to complete. Essentially you are pounded by ae fire for two minutes. Fire resists, bard songs, etc. will be key. There is no mob to target in order to drain or counterspell. You have to live in order to complete this one. Healers I am sure could do this solo. You earn about 2% at level 31.

This room of avatars has three insects in it. Talk to them once then talk to them again and you are done. You will be able to complete this quest immediately. This is an introduction of The Sisters encounter.

The quest is easily soloable with invis and you will earn about 3% at level 31. Since we completed this quest they added invis detect mobs to the Pantheon.

Head to the Antechamber of the Pantheon and hail Ini-herat the Attendant. Talk about the Shade of Vol Tuniel. Ini-herat will tell you you need to talk to Tashini. Ini-herat will give you some seeds to use to summon Tashini. Go to dried fountain in the centre of the Antechamber of the Pantheon and right-click the seeds in your inventory. Tashini (Chancellor of the Moon Goddess) will appear. Escort Tashini back to the Shade of Vol Tuniel. Tashini will use an area effect stun whenever she encounters a mob. This stun effects you. She will march out into the centre of the room causing a huge amount of trouble, and then (after a certain period of time) will teleport you to the Shade of Vol Tuniel. The best strategy for Tashini is to go as slow as possible. Kill everything you encounter very slowly, so that she teleports before you get knee-deep in mobs.

RP Cord map

Basement has many single pull 4-dot lvl 37s.

Just an FYI note to those that go in there... the "E" spot marked for the entrance / exit - is accessible from the main level of the River Palace by going down the tube in the middle of the floor. Important to note that you must have levitate to not plummet to your death, which sucks. Mobs down there start around 37's I believe. If you float down, aim for the west wall, which shows south of the "E" on the below map. This is a safe area to begin pulling to. There are roamers on the left and right - the rightmost roamer comes closer than the right.

To really start moving around in this area, you will need to get Ertherna's Key, which is a fairly rare drop. It will unlock the areas where most of the named mobs are.
Special mob notes:

1. Killing Serpeus (big giant in the pond) spawns Erthena a 6-dot lvl 42. Serpeus drops a 1% spell dmg ring.

* 2 Frenzied Mirebeast lvl 42x44-dot snake below her drops decent things.

Been trying to figure out how "Gormal the Gargantuan" works. Guessing there is some trick to him as there is worh the other bosses "pre-key".

I think that Hardened Gormaline Sludge might be involved, but I cant find out where to use it.

Also, your #5 is "Erthgar Broodmother", and between E and 4 in the round room to the top is where "Ravenous Erthanid Sporebeast" is spawned.

Once you have the full medallion you will spawn NPC Jan Ra'Jin when you get near Lord Tsangs casket on the top floor of the Tomb. (There is nothing to click and you might need to make sure to clear the room a bit before the NPC spawns.) Talk to Jan for a little (elite) surprise and when all is said and done Lord Tsang himself will spawn. Talk to Lord Tsang to learn a Permanente buff to help in your fight against the Ulvari. I learned "Bane of Ulvari" which adds damage vs. Ulvari.

Weapon quests.

Housed in Tsang's tomb are several weapons that can be acquired by completing the quests from the corresponding Jin Tablets. You can do multiple weapon quests but only one at a time. If you have more than one in your inventory when you talk to Tsang's advisor he will not talk to you to furthor the quests.

* "Adrid, The Mace of Sorrow" Given by: Adrid Jin Tablet
o Requires: Moon, Wave, Star,and Shadow Symbol.
* "Kel'Set Dar, the Axe of Ruin"Given by: Kel'set Jin Tablet

All the stones are random rare drops from the mobs in and around Lord Tsang's Tomb. I tried to find a pattern, but no luck. I had the best drop rate farming the groups fo 3 skellies around the entrance level.

After returning to the Jin tablet with the required stones you may collect that desired weapon. REMINDER..you do not get the weapon when you complete the stones, you still have to click on the weapon to put it into your inventory. From here you must visit the Spector of Tsang's Advisor at the exterior front steps to unlock your weapons full potential. Talking to the Advisor with the weapon in your inventory will unlock a new quest chain.

* Kel'Set Dar, the Axe of Ruin Part I Reward: axe As if this quest wasn't enough of a grind your sent after a number of creatures outside the tomb. The Wolfs were easy to find all clumped up at the North of the Zone. I found the creepers and maidens less concentrated and scattered.
o Kel'Set Dar, the Axe of Ruin Part II Reward:axe upgrade. Finaly no more grind. The 4 stones are found below the tomb exit on the West side of the mountain.

Luckily the quest can be completed by searching one of the skellys found on the ground inside the pit. 13sp and 95006xp
* 2. Claws of the Beast (group): Qaar Vhejal the general goods vendor wants you to obtain 8 clawbeast claws. Clawbeasts are found at Location A. but any clawbeast in the zone will due. 14sp and 108605 xp
* 3. Clawbeast Eggs (group): Fhaela Jhael wants you to gather 6 clawbeast eggs. Eggs are ground spawns located at section A. also nets you 14sp and 108605 xp

Quests

Mummies Gotta Eat Too

Penetrating The Core I recommend doing this Quest ASAP. It will save you loads of grinding to and from Lord Neferset’s room. It is also handy for grouping adventures down into the 4dot areas avoiding the entrance trash mobs. When you enter Neferset’s room inspect a skelly on the ground just to the North of the NPC before the ramp. Quest spot 2 on the map. Upon examination you find a scroll.

The scroll opens a Quest to assemble the Blade of Hekketat. Head to the Warrior Halls at location B and grind until you find the hilt and blade. Once the dagger is assembled you can head back to Lord Neferset’s room and on to the core. Stab the blade into the Core and it should teleport you out front. (If you stab the core but don't get teleported you'll have to make it out front before the quest will finish.) Now when you arrive at the front of Nus you can click on the interactive Obelisk before the stairs fro a free ride to the core. (Marked at location 5 on our map.)

Afrit Weapons Quest Line

* An Unworthy Plea (Requires 1k Afrit Faction before it is offered) Travel into the lands of the Lost Mordebi Empire and enter the Nusibe Necropolis. Find the lord of the keepers in the great hall and speak to him.
* Raiding the Tombs Find Berakut in the Tomb of Raiders and retrieve a suitable hilt for the weapon.
o Energizer MummiesObtain 50 ardent bond crystals from the residents of Nusibe Necropolis
+ The Missing Shards Find 3 shards of Arazmus and 5 fragments of Arazmus. These are random drops around Nus but Named always drop one or the other. IF you only have a small group the 3dots at the start can be farmed to get you started.
# Rebuilding the Weapon Speaking with Lord Neferset teleportes your group to the Flare of Tehatamani. At the corners of the Pyramid you will see 4 pillars with a Guardian on each. Kill the 4 guardians then return to flare up top. CLick on the flare to recieve the flare emblem then touch your weapon against the flare to charge it. Return to Lord Neferset.

All of the above named have a chance to drop a heroic item, will always drop a Zull Shimmering Portal Shard, three bags of stones and three efreeti cards.
QUESTS!!!

Okay so just a quick heads-up on this zone. Unless you have speed buffs don't try to solo. Most mobs you will want to kill will be immune to snares, roots, mezzes, stuns, charms, soothes, etc. Come prepared with a group and the foresight that you will either die to roamers or have 1-2 people dedicated to kiting mobs around while the other 4-5 people kill the original mob.

With that being said let's get on to the good stuff.

There is a camp in this zone called Deliverance. There are several quests to take but let's concentrate on just a few at the moment. First, you want to take the Shadow of the Zull quest which is found in Afrit from Majordomo. Second, you want to grab the one that has you find Deelo in the quarry.

Concentrating on the latter because the former is a longer questchain. Deelo gives you a massive arcing quest named Translocation Explanation with tiny subquests from other NPCs around the zone. Believe me after this arcing questline you will be very familiar with what named mobs pop where and where the trash mobs are to kill. After completing his quest he gives you another one called Share the News. You have to run back to Deliverance and speak to the lil gnome in the hut. She gives you a quest called Friends are Found, which will lead you back to Afrit.

The completed Friends are found quest will give you the blue earring as well as a choice one of the orange masks and five bags of coins.

It takes a while to do all of these. Come prepared to spend some time here.
Shadow of Zull

So there is an even longer questline to be had in Rahz Inkur other than the Deelo one. It starts with the Shadow of Zull quest. Finish killing those 40 or so mobs and it leads to the Dawn of Zull quest, which asks you to kill 40 more mobs but this time they are inside of the city. After completing that questline, which nets you five beacons of your choosing, you will be able to accept Night of the Zull which requires you to spawn and kill all four beacon named. Upon completing that quest you will receive the yellow hat. You will then be asked to accept Rise of the Zull, which has you use your portal shards in order to summon named. After completing Rise you will then be on Twilight of the Zull, which has your collect the Sigils (should hopefully have atleast half if not more by now) in order to complete that quest.
