...and for the first time ever, their subscriber numbers are no longer increasing but have hit a plateau and in some territories are actually going down. About bloody time! I have no idea what the people who still play WoW are getting out of it. I mean, it's been almost 6 years since i stopped playing I think? Of course, Cataclysm will boost those numbers, perhaps only for the short term.

You have to admit TTO's first 6 months was a time to cherish though. Damn, good times in there!

Oh yes, without a doubt, good times!
A very polished, very addictive game... almost a decade ago (or so it seems sometimes)!

It was good fun to be in WoW at the end of open beta and when it first went live and TTO was formed

Ah, how I miss those first 6 months :p
to me Wow has been two games in one...
The first year which was generally focused with TSS, then a friend convinced us to transfer server and join his guild there where we worked our way up to participating in raiding - which became fun (on and off fun though :p) and thats kidna been the game for me since. Different community, different playstyle, different game. Always miss playing with everyone from here though.
I unsubbed last... June? And have only been back for about 1 month of casual tinkering since. Planning a minor comeback in the summer but dont expect anything serious :p - I prefer levelling to most things now ^.^ and wanna see the world one more time before they tear it up with cataclysm (grr!)
