There has been some talk on and around the topic of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed if it will come to PC or not, I have since my first segment on the game had conflicting information from various sources and no real hard facts.

As I find my self surfing around looking for information i am informed by a friend sort of to a ongoing petition for the cause of not having PC missing out on the game
Sign the Petition

I will be back with more information as i get it.

well the rumor mill isnt balanced, Some stores has removed the potential to pre-order it on PC has made it tilt closer to a confirmed "No" on the question if Star Wars - The Force Unleashed will be coming on PC.

Speculations:

Personly this is a major blow to the PC community and the Loyal fans of the SW Universe as well as it has always been the bigest supporters of Lucas Arts.
This to me speculations on LA's path choosen is that they focus on the consoles only this time to see if there is any change in focus on the fans as saying will you buy a console or be willing to support Console gaming...
... or is it a begining for LA to jump of the PC as thier attempt on a MMORPG
(this refering to after the NGE Coruption of SWG couldn't keep up with World of Warcraft and new and coming MMORPG's, not accounting to the BioWare MMORPG that LA has joined in on, still not clear if it will be another Star wars Universe attempt (this including references to KoTOR))
on the later point failed misserably but could have been avoided, thus possibly getting them to align focus for console gaming where MMORPG's has yet been possible to establish fully yet.

Please notice this is just my speculations and should not be taken as facts or miss judged as acctual information.

This is apparently the response to the question "Why not the PC" by Lucasarts, copied from a news site that i acctualy forgot and had allready closed the window (which clears my internet cache for that session, Privacy modifications to Firefox.)

If we made the game for high-end PCs, someone with a low-end PC would have a watered down experience, they would have to turn all the settings down and it wouldn't be the same game. On the other hand if we made that game for as many people as possible then it's not taking advantage of what those $4,000 systems can do.

Personal Response:
That is the biggest "FU" to PC players i have heard ever since i got into Game Media and Press release information.
I was almost on the point of saying "it might well be as bad as the NGE" (see Star Wars Galaxies Major misstakes), but i wont, i have yet to find a single item that can crush the major disapointment that the NGE was and IS.

Star Wars®: The Force Unleashed™ Expands Again! New Downloadable Content and New Special Retail Edition Coming this Fall!
New "Infinities" Storyline Takes Star Wars® Saga in Unimagined New Directions
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — July 24, 2009 — LucasArts today announced that their hit videogame Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will see further expansion this Fall through a new downloadable level for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system. In addition, the company also announced Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition, a special new version of the game for the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3, that will show gamers the deepest, darkest side of the Force in a story that puts them on a collision course with Luke Skywalker himself. Available this holiday season at retail stores, The Ultimate Sith Edition will include all of the original missions found in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed as well as content previously only available via download and an all-new exclusive bonus level*.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed completely re-imagines the scope and scale of the Force and casts players as Darth Vader's "Secret Apprentice," unveiling new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy seen through the eyes of a mysterious new character armed with unprecedented powers. Originally released in September 2008, the game quickly became the fastest-selling Star Wars game ever, and has since sold six million units worldwide.

About the Tatooine Downloadable Content for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Available this Fall via direct download from the Xbox LIVE® online entertainment network and the PlayStation®Network, this new downloadable mission continues the story of The Force Unleashed in a new "Infinities" storyline that takes the Star Wars Saga in an entirely new and unexpected direction.

The mission begins at the end of the story of The Force Unleashed and re-imagines the Star Wars Saga as if the Secret Apprentice had killed Darth Vader and taken his place at the Emperor's side, becoming the most powerful Sith Lord in the universe. The story picks up as the Emperor sends his new apprentice to the planet Tatooine to dispatch Obi-Wan Kenobi -- who has been hiding on the planet ever since the events of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. During their hunt for the reclusive Jedi, players will also explore the depths of Jabba the Hutt's palace and encounter notorious bounty hunter Boba Fett.

About Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition

Due to be released in retail stores this holiday season for Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3, Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition combines the original Star Wars: The Force Unleashed videogame and three new levels to create the definitive ultimate-evil storyline of the events that occurred between the two classic Star Wars movie trilogies*.

The additional content includes two levels set on Coruscant and Tatooine previously only available via direct download, and an all-new exclusive level available only in the Ultimate Sith Edition package.

The exclusive level concludes the "Infinities" storyline set up in the Tatooine mission, as the Secret Apprentice is sent to the planet Hoth on a crusade to crush the Rebellion once and for all. While on Hoth, players face Luke Skywalker himself while visiting iconic locations seen in Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back.

[IGN News] SW-TFU Coming to PC and Mac this Fall!

Postby Wighar on Mon Jul 27, 2009 7:52 pm

IGN News wrote:Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: Coming to PC and Mac this Fall
Aspyr's release of the blockbuster action game will pack new stages and bonus content.
July 24, 2009 - Aspyr Media and LucasArts will bring the hit game Star Wars®: The Force Unleashed™ to PC and Mac gamers for the first time ever with the release of Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition this Fall. Developed for PC and Mac and published in North America by Aspyr, Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition combines the original Star Wars The Force Unleashed videogame with three new levels set in iconic Star Wars locales and a host of new costumes and character models. This special edition of the game will show players the deepest, darkest side of the Force in a story that puts them on a collision course with Luke Skywalker himself.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed completely re-imagines the scope and scale of the Force and casts players as Darth Vader's "Secret Apprentice," unveiling new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy seen through the eyes of this mysterious new character, who is armed with unprecedented powers. Originally released on multiple platforms in September 2008, the game quickly became the fastest-selling Star Wars game ever, and has since sold six million units worldwide.

About The Extra Content
The first of the three additional single-player missions included in the Ultimate Sith Edition is set in the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant. In this mission, Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice turns to the Jedi Temple to learn more about his father, and while searching through the rubble of the destroyed building he must confront his inner demons.

The second extra mission continues the story of The Force Unleashed in a new "Infinities" storyline that takes the Star Wars Saga in an entirely new direction. The level begins at the end of the story of The Force Unleashed and re-imagines the Star Wars Saga as if the Secret Apprentice had taken Darth Vader's place at the Emperor's side, becoming the most powerful Sith Lord in the universe. The story picks up as the Emperor sends his new apprentice to Tatooine to dispatch Obi-Wan Kenobi – who has been hiding on the planet ever since the events of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. During their hunt for the reclusive Jedi, players will also explore the depths of Jabba the Hutt's palace and encounter notorious bounty hunter Boba Fett.

The final new level concludes the "Infinities" storyline set up in the Tatooine mission, as the Secret Apprentice is sent to the planet Hoth on a crusade to crush the Rebellion once and for all. While on Hoth, players face Luke Skywalker himself while visiting iconic locations seen in Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back.

Additional added content includes new costumes for the Secret Apprentice and new character models that allow gamers to play as one of many legendary Star Wars characters including Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Count Dooku, Jango Fett and C-3PO.
