Another game on my wanted list :D

Heres some screenies.

If WOW looked like the bottom one Id have quit my job and spent all day playing and living off pringles!

I liked NWN and its expansion packs (although I have not played hordes of the underdark... I never owned my own copy of the original, but I have both the expansions. go figure :p) and I look forward to seeing this game in action, it was the only real contender for Game Of The Year which morrowind snuck away with, still looks great, but compared to NWN2s graphics, its like a cartoon.

*drool*

Hope theres an excellent storyline to be had and lots of hacknslashnboomboombooms! Weeehehehe

I played NWN for a looong time and was actually working with a bunch of friends on a persistent world for NWN2 but while it looks great and might have a great singleplayer story and all that I'm afraid it wont be all that they're advertising...

At least, not if you're a fan of the multiplayer persistent world aspect of NWN like I was or a fan of the D&D 3.5 (or 3.0 for that matter) roleplaying game which I'm not particularly but anyway... NWN2 will be NWN1 with awesome new graphics, some feats and spells updated to the 3.5 rules and a new story but you will still have all the flaws and design shortcuts that Bioware put in the first one because it's the same bloody game engine. Meh!

I know, I know... I'm just a bitter old man who isn't getting the toy he was hoping for but it makes me sad to think of what NWN2 could have been.

All that said, if you enjoy roleplaying games with great graphics and stories and don't care much for multiplayer or accurate D&D rules interpretation then this probably will be well worth your time and money.

Well I enjoyed the first one! Played it over numerous times. Even if it was just a new storyline I would consider a purchase, but each to their own :D

Saw a pre-order pack lying around in the local shop today, and I was tempted to buy it... but I didn't. Should I or shouldn't I?

Wel, I can run Oblivion smoothly since the wipe+new video card... I was hoping that BioWare is quite supportive for the low-end systems :D

Actually, I tihnk she would very much like it! In the wilderness, (she hates living in towns) - and its got a big cosy fireplace :)

Pre-order pack? bah, nah, hang onto your money until it comes out, I doubt its gonna sell out on release or anything, Im sure it will be good but not super duper uber in demand.

Sorry, this is Velkairiwyth, I didnt notice I was logged on under Kats account :s

prolly I am not getting involved here, just I know, that Nimia and people of Umbrae
are about to play NVN2 as well. (Umbrae's actual NVN-section). maybe worth to
make some contacts for those targetting this game ...

I won't at first. There's just too much coming out, and I need to set my priorities  First BF 2142, then medieval2 then nothing for a while :)

I tihnk ill have to take a look at Medieval 2. I only ever played Shogun: Total War. Always got bored of it before possessing the whole island though.

Got BF2 - If 2142 is good i might take a looksie too, but NWN2 has been in my sights for quite sometime :) Loved the first game and expansions, so unless it does something drastic, I see it being a very good game :)
