RIP Ryzom

The Saga Of Ryzom has been out for a while, but recent updates have made it a better game. "The Next Dawn" had it's times ...

RIP Ryzom

Well, it briefly grabbed me by the nutsack and took me on a month long roller coaster of fun but Ryzom is now officially dead. The English and German servers went down permanently this week and now the last remaining server, (The French speaking one) is bound to follow soon. It is highly unlikely that anyone will now pickup this title and it looks all but dead.

RIP Ryzom, you had a lot of potential. You'll go down in my gaming archive as a valiant and noteworthy entry.

A great starter island, probably one of the better early-game experiences I've seen in an MMO. Sadly once the game truly kicks off there's as much content as there was in early SWG, and that means a lot of running around beating random mobs. Alas

Roleplay is like writing a book with several people. Hard to backtrack but ever so exciting.

I went there only for the 2 weeks trial, but my brother and his friends spend quite a while there. It was quite "different". Sad indeed

yeah, definetely the starter area, including the availability of GM's
maybe it would have been better we joint at a later date when the
"ring"-thingy has been implemented yet. so I missed this promising
innovation to MMO's.
