Although in all seriousness, it seems like this time the SOE involvement is purely on the marketing/distribution side of things. Of course, that was the original deal with Vanguard too wasn't it before the Sigil meltdown.

It's another game to add to the station access pass though, which is always good.

At least you know it won't be absolute shite if SOE is involved. Sure, they can prepublish an early beta as retail, and screw up any game by dictating its evolution, but it will be playable.
Now that I think of it, EQ2 is a pretty decent game now isn't it? And SOE does take credit for sticking through SWG right at the start... and can anyone really say that SWG was a shitty game?

You are right it wasn't, it was just bad timing, they released a skill based game just as MMO developers were waking up to the fact that skill based games are unbalanceable and that level based games aka WoW are what the punters want.
