Dragon Age: Origins. <<SPOILER ALERT>>

epic score

Postby Starman on Wed Oct 28, 2009 5:36 pm

Swedish PC gamer gave it 95% - well they are BioWare fanboys, but it's compared with 94% Baldur's Gate II and 94% to KOTOR 94%.

Bioware forever!

Can't. Wait.

play.com evades taxes. they're cheaper than anything a shop or online tool can offer me. Could be localized though.

In any case, getting more hyped about the game as the days pass!

I bought mine from coolshop.dk for (currently) €42. They only ship to Denmark of course but they have branches in other countries like coolshop.co.uk where you can get the very same game for just £24.77 as we speak. Again, they only ship to the islands... :(

Gamespot review

Postby Starman on Wed Nov 04, 2009 4:34 pm

For your convenience, the Gamespot review:

TL:DR version: 9.5 / 10.

Linky for the rest of us: >>> here

I'll get it tomorrow, if all goes well.

Edit:
Quote CGV:
"A truly astonishing game. Vast, vivid and microscopically detailed. Dragon Age is the RPG of the decade."

Wow, it's really not often you get reviews that are THAT good! Having said that, did we expect any less from bioware? (Roll on TOR!)

I played for three hours just to get through the introduction. It's good and interesting but so far I have not seen anything revolutionary. Many aspects remind me an awful lot of an(y) MMO though...

It's as good as good ole BG II ever was. Considering the technical improvements, it's very smooth.
Damn the inventory restrictions...very 90's. :? Got to find a bigger bag from some merchant, not been to the big cities yet.

This is my first dude: Toby the mage.

Some kind of verdict is, that it keeps me away from wow atm :bum:

<<SPOILER ALERT>>
Toby the mage is kind of goofy. Insisted on leaving poor Redcliffe villagers for a quick trip elsewhere. Ops, upon return he met a ghost town. The undead swarm had the nerve to raze the town while Toby was on the errand. Sheesh. It's been like this a while now. Stuff happens, decisions really affect gameplay. Hoping to save the poor demon-possessed-kid though.
